Roar Digital’s BetMGM Enters Sports Betting Market of Oregon

MGM Resort’s and GVC’s t venture, Roar Digital, has confirmed the g of multi-year agreement with Confederate Tribes of Grand Ronde of Oregon whose official sports betting partner they will become.

Roar Digital will open a BetMGM sportsbook at one of the state’s biggest casinos, Spirit Mountain Casino, later this year.

A Partnership Between Two Reliable Brands

This brand will present an on-reservation mobile sports betting app as well as a retail sportsbook…

…before going out with online sports betting that will be available in the entire state. Necessary regulatory approvals will need to happen before this takes place.

CEO of Road Digital, Adam Greenblatt, said:

“We have found a great partner in the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde and Spirit Mountain Casino and look forward to working with the Tribe to bring a leading retail and online sports betting experience to Oregon.”

Spirit Mountain Casino’s general manager, Stan Dillon, added that the t venture between these two brands will provide a top-class betting experience to citizens of Oregon.

“We’re excited to launch this partnership with BetMGM, which will allow us to extend our established position as the Northwest’s premier entertainment destination,” said Dillon.

There are currently 13 Roar Digital-operated BetMGM sportsbooks in Nevada, Colorado, New Jersey and West Virginia.

Oregon Casino’s Noble Mission

Mayor of Oregon’s Wood Village, T. Scott Harden, has suggested a construction of a casino east of Portland whose tax revenue could be used to finance the program for aiding the homeless.

Two referendums on this have been already proposed, back in 2010 and 2012, but with very little success.

However, the Mayor still thinks this idea has merit and is hopeful of the casino’s construction:

“The new major beneficiary of the dollars will be our homelessness efforts. I think in a lot of people’s minds this would get them to think. It might be the tipping point for a lot of voters.”

If Bruce Studer and Matt Rossman, who submitted ballot proposals on January 30th, get approval, the Wood Village casino construction could begin very soon.
