NetEnt Begins to Operate in Michigan with Multiple Gaming Brands

As Michigan officially launches online gaming and sports betting in the state, NetEnt makes an announcement about entering the market to grow its footprint significantly in the burgeoning US sector.

In recent weeks, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued multiple licenses to BetRivers/RSI, BetMGM, Churchill Downs, DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, William Hill and WynnBET, allowing each brand to start their operations in the Great Lakes State on Friday 22 January.

Mega Hits Go Live!

Due to an earlier partnership with Tipico and other operators in New Jersey, NetEnt will launch a selection of established and licensed titles across Michigan as well, including Starburst, Blackjack and Divine Fortune. These player-favorites are already available in the regulated markets of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as a result of additional agreements with PlayLive! and DraftKings.

The operators in Michigan will start offering games from the casino content supplier, which is part of the Evolution Group. In recent months, NetEnt had also signed other landmark collaborations with Gaming Realms, Svenska Spel and BetMGM in Virginia.

“Friday’s successful launch with multiple operators is the result of months of planning for Michigan’s go-live and years of on-the-ground experience in the US,” said Jeff Millar, commercial director at Evolution, North America.

“America is an absolute priority market for Evolution Group, which is reflected by the scale of NetEnt’s first-day presence in Michigan,” he continued.

On a side note, NetEnt’s rapid and far-reaching Michigan entry highlights Evolution’s leading position as a content distributor in the United States. Back in November, FanDuel also opted for the provider’s portfolio to expand its live casino offering in the US, while in August the retailer ed forces with BetMGM.

NetEnt games went live on day one in Pennsylvania back in 2019. West Virginia soon ed in 2020 and later this year, Evolution will open a state-of-the-art Live Casino broadcast studio in Michigan. It represents the company’s third workshop in the US and eleventh globally.

“We are poised to add more operators in all US markets during 2021 and have a roap of high-profile game launches. And, as we’ve once again shown, we’re ready for new markets being switched on and partnering casinos to offer a standout product to their players the minute they go live,” concluded Millar.

Active in Other Jurisdictions

Meanwhile, the established provider of live casino content, QTech Games, secured an arrangement to launch various titles from the suite including blackjack, roulette, three-card poker, baccarat and Andar Bahar, recognized as top-ranking products in the region.

Earlier in December, another widely acclaimed gaming group JVH signed an agreement with Evolution to launch in the Netherlands. Apart from its famous Dutch brand, Jack Casino, the group holds several gambling properties, active since 1958.

JVH Gaming now has access to Evolution’s entire classic portfolio and gameshows such as Crazy Time and Mega Ball, but also Lightning Roulette and more. The company is looking forward to unveiling more live casino titles at Jack Casino on 1 September 2021.
