Connecticut Expands Its Online Gambling Sector

Online gambling sector in Connecticut could soon set very strong expansion foundations and extend this part of the industry, according to Foxwoods Resort Casino, which signed an agreement with providers of high-quality casino software, PariPlay. The resort is operated and owned entirely by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, whose partners are effectively working on delivering real-money online gambling services.

In order to allow its customers access to digital gaming, the interactive gaming platform, eyeON, has sealed a deal with PariPlay, although such services demand a regulatory review and approval. Since the agreement has already been reached, a possible push of the largest casino in the state to enable online games is expected. Some industry experts are also considering other forms of collaboration with the supplying company, including sports betting services and more.

Local lawmakers have high hopes for legalizing betting on sport events, despite the fact that certain changes in US federal law need to be made. The country will allow sports betting services, provided New Jersey wins in the US Supreme Court case. Furthermore, the state needs to remove the annulment on sports wagering for further changes to take effect. Finally, a regulatory framework must also be forged by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protections to ensure that offerings are fair and transparent to the locals.

The southernmost state in the New England region now belongs to a group of states that is most likely to push the online gambling expansion, due to an increase of regional competition. As a result, two existing tribal casinos are interested in boosting annual revenues, which even resulted in a t venture project, back in 2017.
