GiG has been approved to operate in New Jersey, USA

New Jersey has long played second fiddle to Nevada in the world of gambling in the United States. But in recent months, they have made some moves to close the gap. First, they won a Supreme Court decision that allowed them to legalize sports betting. Now, unlike Nevada, they are taking steps to allow residents to gamble online. While Americans have long been able to access online casinos, it is often under dubious circumstances. New Jerseyans are gaining the ability to play online in more clear-cut fashion, under the regulation of the state government.

The latest step in this direction is a green light for The Gaming Innovation Group to set up a platform for real money play. The authorization has been granted by The State of New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. GiG will be partnering with Hard Rock International to establish the latter’s first online casino.

The comprehensive regulatory process is not yet complete, but success in the early stages suggests that this is an eventuality. CiG has been granted what is called a “transactional waiver.” This waiver is a certification of the fact that the core platform conforms to the rules and regulations of the Division of Gaming Enforcement. The next step will be the granting of a full Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licence. At this point, CiG will officially break into the U.S. market in a legal and regulated manner, and New Jerseyans will be able to enjoy The Hard Rock Casino online.
