The Global Gaming Awards will take place on the 4th of February in London’s Hippodrome…
…and the full list of nominees is finally available online for everyone who would like to take a peek.
The list published in the official newsletter called, “Shortlist,” contains 16 categories and each one of those categories is sponsored by a certain company. Lead partner of the whole event this year is BetConstruct, who recently signed a slot supply deal with Malta-headquartered operator, Tom Horn Gaming.
This competition is, as the event organizer explained, a celebration of the leading companies and the most dynamic individuals that have made a mark in the global gaming industry over the past year.
The companies could nominate themselves…
…but there were also recommendations from the nomination (consisted of five industry experts) and Gambling Insider’s (GI) editorial team.
In order to be fair and to give the prizes to the companies that truly deserve it, Global Gaming Awards representatives made sure that the selection and the voting process has been professionally observed by KMPG Isle of Man.
The competition is strong in the Online Casino of the Year category because last year’s winner Pragmatic Play, a leading worldwide company that has offices in Malta, Gibraltar and the Philippines.
Also, there is a Betting Shop Operator of the Year category, where Fortuna Entertainment Group has to measure swords with Ladbrokes, OPAP and Snaitech. Of course, this category has a sponsor as well, and that is the leading B2B software solution provider, Inbet Games.
In the Online Sports Betting Category, sponsored by SG Digital, Betfair, Bwin, Sky Betting & Gaming and William Hill.
When it comes to the Casino Product of the Year category, the products that manage to be on top of the list…
…are Lightning Horseman by Lightning Box Games, Live Beyond Live by Mr Green and Jumanji by NetEnt.
The competition includes Programme of the Year category, where 1xBet, ActiveWin and Betsson compete against each other, hoping that they will beat last year’s winner Bet365.
But, not only companies can make it to the list. There is also a category that awards the most outstanding Chief Executives of the Year and the nominees include Kenny Alexander from GVC, Therese Hillman from NetEnt, Peter Jackson from Paddy Power Betfair and Kristian Nylen of Kambi.
You can see the full shortlist and more information on the event on the official website. The final list of winners for each category will be officially announced on the 4th of February.
There is an official team of 50 expert judges that have already submitted their first and second choice vote in each category.
The nominee with the most first-choice votes is the winner, but if there is a tie, the nominee with the most second-choice votes will be the winner.
