Kansas Lottery and International Game Technology (IGT) have signed a three-year contract extension that has been keeping them in collaborative business for over a decade now.
The deal was penned by IGT’s subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation who agreed to continue providing their central computer system and services – a trademark collectively known as INTELLIGEN – to Kansas Lottery.
The latter will benefit greatly from the continued usage of tools and mechanics that monitor electronic gaming machines across the entire state.
The extension of this contract will go in full effect on December 15, 2019 and will run through December 14, 2022.
INTELLIGEN system took over 20 years of “development, expertise and knowledge gathering” to create. This is according to IGT’s COO, North America Lottery, Jay Gendron, who remarks that…
…gaming central system customers all across the globe have helped with creating INTELLIGEN and making sure it is equipped with advanced tools customers everywhere can use.
“IGT and the Kansas Lottery have built a strong partnership since this contract began more than 10 years ago, and we’re pleased to be furthering this relationship by continuing to provide our advanced system to the nearly 5,000 electronic gaming machines in the state,” said Genrdon.
According to the company’s official description of the product…
…INTELLIGEN offers control capabilities tailored to video gaming environments, designed to “ industry advancement.” It integrates for Gaming Standards Association’s Game to System protocol.
Kansas Lottery Acting Executive Director, Stephen Durrell, said:
“IGT’s INTELLIGEN system has helped the Kansas Lottery meet the objectives of operating our electronic gaming machines with the highest standards of integrity and security to benefit the state for the last 10 years. We look forward to continuing our relationship over the next few years.”
IGT’s March was quite a busy one indeed…
…with the organization inking several notable agreements on two separate sides of the world, that will elevate their business to the next level. First, the London firm snapped up a deal with Slovakia’s state-owned TIPOS lottery, expanding their partnership for another ten years, with a provision of five more.
Also, the company will begin running a sportsbook in Valley Forge Casino in Pennsylvania, thanks to the recently announced integration of PlayDigital PlayShot technology.
In other news, sports betting may have gotten a crucial backing in Kansas, as state lawmakers introduce a legislation SB 222 which will authorize the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission to hand out licenses to operators keen to offer their services at select racetracks.

So they have a ten year partnership both in Kansas and Slovakia? They seem like a reliable partner to me.
