MegaLotto Names Former William Hill Online MD CEO

…has officially appointed a new CEO.

Company officials announced that the new chief executive of MegaLotto will be Grant Williams, former online managing director at William Hill.

More About the new CEO

Williams will, according to his contract, commence his CEO duties on April 1, 2019. He actually resigned from his position at Hill back in November of last year.

That is exactly when this London-based bookmaker started the big reconstruction of the company’s digital section because of the acquisition of Mr Green’s MRG Group.

Before he started working as an online managing director at the bookmaker, Williams served as chief operating officer of the online division of the same company.

He apparently has vast experience in the gambling industry, since earlier in his career he worked at Premier Lotto and Gaming Media Group. He actually spent a year as an operations director at Premier Lotto in Nigeria…

…and also worked 11 years at Gaming Media Group where he changed various roles from non-executive director to chief operating officer.

A Word from a new CEO

“In a fast-paced marketplace, we are not here to deliver yet another product and set of propositions, but to explore new ways to disrupt and develop the end-to-end lottery experience, from the build-up to the draw, all the way through to the results,” Williams said about his new role at Hill.

MegaLotto’s New Ventures

MegaLotto was officially opened for business back in January of this year…

…thanks to massive from igaming venture capital fund, Optimizer Invest.

This start-up has already penned an official partnership with GIG (Gaming Innovation Group). They have partnered up with the iGaming solutions provider to work together on international lottery draws and casino games in various regulated markets.

“We want to create a world-class interactive experience for consumers online, and Grant is the perfect candidate to make that happen,” Optimizer Invest chief executive, Petter Moldenius, said.

“With Grant on board, we can continue to create something unique and innovative in the market,” Moldenius added.

William Hill’s New Partnerships

The world-famous gambling operator recently signed an expansion partnership with Penn National. The operator will open its sportsbook in Nevada’s M Resort Spa and Casino, which is operated by Penn National Gaming.

The venue, located just outside the USA’s biggest gambling hub, Las Vegas, in Henderson, will receive the UK-brand’s betting technology necessary for the smooth running of racebook and sportsbook.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with William Hill at M Resort. We have an active sports book at M Resort and we think our guests will benefit greatly from William Hill’s expertise,” Penn’s senior vice-president of regional operations, Ameet Patel, said.
