Mohegan Gaming to Operate Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Elite developer of premier global integrated entertainment resorts, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, has partnered with JC Hospitality LLC, owner of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on the Strip in Las Vegas. The tribal gaming operator will manage casino operations on the property, soon to be known as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which is part of Curio Collection by Hilton.

Rebranding is already in progress, and the 60,000 square foot gaming space is awaiting regulatory approval by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

The entertainment company from Uncasville, Montville, Connecticut, US is on the road to becoming the world’s largest IER developer. MGE is constantly expanding all over the globe, including the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, Incheon in South Korea and €8 billion integrated resort at Athens’ former Hellinikon airport.

Synching with Modern Values

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, as part of Richard Branson’s empire, will go under reconstruction for the next eight months before it re-opens in 2020. CEO at JC Hospitality, Richard Bosworth, revealed in an interview why his group had chosen MGE and said that the company “prides themselves on traditional principles” but at the same time manages to synchronize them with modern values.

“We are excited that Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will be their first entry in the Las Vegas market. MGE further expands on our commitment to partner with best-in-class operators for the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas transformation,” commented Bosworth on the recently signed partnership.

JC Hospitality is an investment, management and development group who operates in partnership with Juniper Capital Partners, Virgin Group, LiUNA, Fengate Real Assets and Dream & Orlando Development.

The company has also announced an arrangement with AEG Presents, including management, operations and booking for The t, a 4,000 seat showroom located inside the casino. This area is known for hosting classic rock and modern rock band concerts.

Open in Early February 2020

As a master developer and operator of integrated casino resorts, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment will start its mandate at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in early February 2020.

Once the property is rebranded, Sin City’s first lifestyle casino will feature chambers of luxury suites with groundbreaking design, a commons club and host various rooftops & live venues, meetings, events and business travel conferences. The franchise currently operates in Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco.
