Parx Casino Presents a $10 Million Sportsbook Expansion, Opens New Grounds

Parx Casino, one of Pennsylvania’s most popular gambling facilities, will soon introduce its brand-new sportsbook by opening expanded grounds worth $10 million.

The property in Bensalem, not far from Philadelphia and New York, will be the place of this grand opening, a short time after the Parx online sports betting app and real money casino have been launched.

The Planned Look of the Venue

Just before the preseason NFL game between Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans (which guests won 27-10)…

…a ribbon cutting ceremony was held, as Parx Casino Sportsbook strives to “set the standards in industry” as it will be accessible 24/7 and will feature 10-16 hours of live teller assistance.

The venue, owned by Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, is capable of holding 422 people and has 156-foot high definition media wall on which 36 games can be broadcast at the same time.

The sportsbook grounds will also feature 18 self-service sports betting kiosks on the casino floor, beer garden and poker room, a full-service bar for 200 people and six live teller windows.

Mission Complete

Parx’s senior vice president of interactive gaming and sports, Matthew Cullen, comments:

“Parx Casino is excited to cut the ribbon on the best sportsbook in the country. Parx aims to set the industry standard in this new and fast-growing arena. The timing couldn’t be better as we head into football season.

We felt our local Eagles fans deserved to have the ultimate game day destination to cheer on the Birds. Game day will soar to new heights as we present the absolute best gaming and entertainment experience of its kind.

We have worked for nearly two years to expand our portfolio of offerings to give patrons the best of all types of legalised gaming. After the recent launch of online sports betting and our real money online casino, the grand opening of Parx Casino Sportsbook completes this mission.”

Pennsylvania via Parx For AGS

Slot developer, AGS, has announced that they will launch their products in PA for the first time ever…

…precisely in the Bensalem venue.

Andre Burke, Senior Vice President of AGS Slot Products, has said that he is excited about entering the Pennsylvania market and honored to do so at the venue which attracts players from Philadelphia which is the sixth-largest metropolitan area in the US with over six million residents.

The Big Launch

Three brick and mortar casinos in PA have successfully tested their online venues

…and among those was Parx, which, in mid-July, ended the test phase of their online casino, heralding a new age for Pennsylvania’s online gambling that officially began with this event.
