Pragmatic Play Celebrates Chinese New Year with Money Mouse Game Offering

Developer, Pragmatic Play, is starting the new year with a new release. Except this time, it’s the Chinese New Year that falls on the 25th of January.

To celebrate this, the company is releasing Money Mouse – a 3×5 and 25 payline video slot featuring stacked wilds, money respin, and blazing reels.

It s the catalogue of this developer’s Asian-themed slots which includes titles like Magic Journey and Tree of Riches.

Setting the Mood

It’s the Lunar New Year and that means lots of cheer and good luck wishes. That’s why the reels are filled with traditional good luck symbols such as guardian lions, crackers, and drums.

To celebrate and to delight the players, the developer has put in a ton of interesting features. It all starts with the extra spins which are triggered by the appearance of three scatter money tree symbols.

During this mode there is quite a twist. The titular money mouse that is also a wild symbol is now transformed into a mega wild. It occupies the entirety of the middle three reels and carries a high win potential with it.

It’s the New Year after all and what could be more festive than the biggest win of them all?

This feature called “Money Respin” is triggered when 6 or more money lantern symbols appear.

Once that happens the punters are transported to a special screen that only contains the money symbols. Here the object is to get the entire grid filled with these items, and to help any time one appears the respin counter is reset back to three.

When the mode ends all the different amounts written on the lanterns will be tallied and rewarded to the player. These amounts can include the minor, major, or grand jackpot.
